On 2 November, the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Sydney held the 2024 Tree-Planting Event at Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple, drawing nearly 170 participants. The event introduced an innovative “Adopt & Return” initiative, where participants took saplings home to care for them until they grow to 50cm, then bring them back to the temple for planting. The day also included activities such as “Tree Blessings”, Walking Meditation, Standing Meditation, a Nature Mandala Workshop, and an exploration of the “Nan Tien 2030” vision. Many families joined with their children, actualising the principles of “Environmental and Spiritual Preservation.”
