On 28 October, Venerable Chueh Shan, Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Parramatta, and Florence Yuen, Director of the Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Sydney, were invited to the 60th anniversary celebration of the Catholic Nostra Aetate Declaration. Venerable Chueh Shan shared insights on the Buddha’s enlightenment in the human realm and the teachings of Humanistic Buddhism, highlighting the benefits of meditation for physical and mental well-being in modern days. The dialogue promoted interfaith understanding and peace.
