首創澳洲佛教三日電影節
The Temple’s first 3-day Buddhist film festival
佛光山南天寺於4月19至21日首創「Enlighten 佛教電影節」，佛光山澳紐總住持滿可法師、臥龍崗市長 Clr. Tania Brown 與近200人共同見證。開幕典禮首映星雲大師自傳電影《佛教靠我–人間佛教紀錄片》，3天共放映9部佳作，涵蓋紀錄片、劇情片、喜劇片及動畫片，帶領大眾探索佛法智慧，領會慈悲與正念的生活之道，為澳洲多元文化發展注入嶄新活力。
電影節特別安排專業導讀與映後座談，讓影像成為啟發智慧的橋樑。更有禪修、太極、多元文化活動，帶領大眾深入體驗佛法智慧，開啟內在覺性。
From 19-21 April, Nan Tien Temple hosted Australia’s inaugural Enlighten Buddhist Film Festival, attended by over 200 people, including Venerable Man Ko, Chief Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Australia and New Zealand, and Wollongong Mayor Clr. Tania Brown. The festival opened with the premiere of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s autobiography film, Buddhism Relies on Me – A Humanistic Buddhism Documentary. Over the three days, nine exceptional movies were screened, including documentaries, dramas, comedies, and animations— each exploring Buddhist teachings, compassion, and mindful living.
The event injected fresh energy into Australia’s vibrant multicultural scene. To foster deeper understanding, the festival featured expert-guided discussions and post-film panels, turning screen stories into pathways for insight. It also offered activities such as meditation, Tai Chi, and multicultural activities, encouraging attendees to connect with Buddhist wisdom and awaken inner awareness.
