On 12 October, the BLIA Loving Care Group of the Sydney Chapter held the "2024 Joyful Elderly Day" at Nurragingy Reserve. The event was attended by 97 Fo Guang elders, BLIA members and Young Adult Division (YAD) youths, in celebration of Grandparents' Day. Venerable Chueh Shan from Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Parramatta encouraged everyone to value faith and legacy. The programme included group games, Chinese garden tours, vegetarian feasts, and YAD performances.
