On 31 December 2024, Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple hosted the "2024 New Year's Eve Pilgrimage". Close to 200 Fo Guang members, devotees, and guests from the Pilgrim Lodge gathered at the Nan Tien Institute plaza at 10 pm, collectively taking part in the pilgrimage in joyful spirit and good will to welcome the New Year. Through the pilgrimage, participants purified their minds and bodies, let go of worries, and stepped into the New Year with humility, wisdom, and compassion. Both Eastern and Western attendees commended the event for promoting a deeper appreciation of Buddhist traditions among people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
