Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple hosted New Year Dharma Services to welcome both Civil New Year and Lunar New Year. On 1 January, the "Light Offering and Prayer for the New Year" attracted nearly 500 visitors and community members from both Eastern and Western backgrounds. On 28 January, Lunar New Year's Eve, the temple held a series of Dharma services including the "Lunar New Year's Eve Blessing Ceremony" and the "Lunar New Year's Day Incense Offering", with over 1,000 participants joining via live stream. On 29 January, the first day of the Lunar New Year, the "Lunar New Year's Blessing Ceremony" was conducted. Through these ceremonies presided by Venerable Man Ko, Chief Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Australia and New Zealand, devotees bid farewell to the old year and welcomed a prosperous and harmonious new year with offerings of incense and the tolling of the Peace Bell.
