佛光山南天寺、南天講堂及南雪梨佛光緣於1月4-7日舉辦法寶節臘八粥供眾活動，共製備近4千碗臘八粥供眾結緣。佛光山澳紐總住持滿可法師強調法寶節核心在於紀念佛陀成道及體悟「無常」、「因果」、「緣起性空」的真理智慧。 南天講堂住持覺善法師帶領佛光會信眾分送臘八粥給各界社團、機關及媒體，包括澳洲日報、澳洲新報、駐雪梨台北經濟文化辦事處、SBS中文台、2AC、2CR電台、Dignity Homeless Service Australia 食物救助中心等。南雪梨佛光緣贈送臘八粥予新南威爾斯州州長 The Hon. Chris Minns MP 辦公室、聯邦影子通訊部長 The Hon. David Coleman MP 辦公室、Hurstville Regis Aged Care 療養院、Hurstville 錢梁秀容療養院及 Earlwood 周藻泮療養院等。 雪梨協會因應AI時代，設計「平安吉祥法寶節」互動遊戲，讓參與者透過掃描二維碼完成拼圖及問答，深入了解臘八粥文化與佛法。

From 4 to 7 January, Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple, Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Parramatta and Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Kogarah organised the Dharma Day Laba Congee event, preparing nearly 4,000 bowls of Laba congee to distribute and connect with the community. Venerable Man Ko, Chief Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Australia and New Zealand, emphasized that the core of Dharma Day is to commemorate the Buddha’s enlightenment and to reflect on the profound truths of impermanence, karma, and dependent origination and emptiness. Venerable Chueh Shan, Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Parramatta, led BLIA members and devotees to distribute the Laba congee to various community groups, organisations, and media outlets, including Daily Chinese Herald, Australian Chinese Daily, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, SBS Chinese Channel, 2AC, 2CR radio stations, and Dignity Homeless Service Australia. The congee was also presented to the office of New South Wales Premier, the Hon. Chris Minns MP, the office of Federal Shadow Minister for Communications, the Hon. David Coleman MP, as well as local aged care centres such as Hurstville Regis Aged Care, the Lucy Chieng Aged Care Centre in Hurstville, and Chow Cho Poon Nursing Home. In response to the AI era, BLIA Sydney Chapter designed an interactive Peaceful and Auspicious Dharma Day game. Participants can scan QR codes to complete puzzles and answer questions, deepening their understanding of Laba congee culture and Buddhist teachings.
