臥龍崗市長 Clr. Gordon Bradbery AM 在9月5日卸任感恩會上回顧與佛光山13年情誼。他珍藏佛光山開山祖師星雲大師贈予的「應世無畏」墨寶，曾赴台參加佛陀紀念館落成。任內見證佛光山南天大學啟用、南天橋落成及佛光山南天寺入選新州文化遺產名錄。佛光山澳紐總住持滿可法師感謝市長鼎力支持促成南天寺多項重大發展。

On 5 September, Wollongong Mayor Clr. Gordon Bradbery AM reflected on his 13 years of association with Fo Guang Shan during his farewell and appreciation ceremony. He gave special recognition to the calligraphy "應世無畏" (Fearless in Serving the World), gifted by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, the Founding Master of Fo Guang Shan. The mayor also attended the opening of the Buddha Museum in Taiwan. Throughout his tenure, he witnessed the opening of Nan Tien Institute, the completion of Nan Tien Bridge, and the designation of Nan Tien Temple as a cultural heritage site. Venerable Man Ko, Chief Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Australia and New Zealand, expressed gratitude for the mayor’s strong support in facilitating several major developments at Nan Tien Temple.
