佛光山雪梨各道場積極推動義工培訓，傳承星雲大師服務理念。佛光山北雪梨佛光緣2024年7月6日舉辦義工培訓班，覺觀法師與近20位義工參加。課程通過星雲大師視頻探討常住理念，強調服務精神與資源珍惜，勉勵義工視服務為修行，共同成就佛道。 2025年2月22日舉辦「星雲大師集體創作」義工培訓講習會，30位義工參加。課程講解四給精神與集體創作四原則：有大眾無個人、有團結無分化、有為公無為私、有向前無後退，強調以歡喜心服務大眾的理念。 佛光山南天講堂3月2日舉辦義工培訓工作坊，34位學員參加。南天講堂住持覺善法師以星雲大師《發心的次第》開示，強調義工要用增上心、出離心和菩提心服務。南天講堂妙力法師帶領破冰活動，講解義工「身口意」準備，並強調義工精神是「給出來的」，在服務中實踐菩薩道，培植福德。

The Fo Guang Shan Sydney branch temples actively promote volunteer training, carrying on Venerable Master Hsing Yun's service philosophy. On 6 July, 2024, the Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Chatswood held a volunteer training class attended by Venerable Jue Guan and nearly 20 volunteers. The course explored monastic concepts through Venerable Master Hsing Yun's videos, emphasising the spirit of service and mindful use of resources. Volunteers were encouraged to view service as a spiritual practice, collectively progressing on the Buddhist path. On 22 February, 2025, they held a "Venerable Master Hsing Yun's collective creation" volunteer training workshop, with 30 participants. The course explained the "four givings" spirit and the four principles of collective creation: collective interest over individual interest, unity without division, public welfare over self-interest, and keep going without regressing. It emphasised the idea of serving the collective with a joyful heart. On 2 March, Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Parramatta also hosted a volunteer training workshop, with 34 attendees. Venerable Chueh Shan, Abbess of Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Buddhist Temple Parramatta, gave a Dharma talk based on Venerable Master Hsing Yun's "Stages of Aspiration," emphasising that volunteers should serve with an evolving mind, renunciant mind, and bodhi mind. Venerable Miao Li led icebreaking activities, and explained the importance of aligning our "body, speech, and mind" in volunteering preparation, and stressed that the volunteer spirit is about "giving," practising the bodhisattva path through service and cultivating merit.
