Chan • Art • Sculpture 2024 Nan Tien Sculpture Exhibition is organised by Fo Guang Shan Nan Tien Temple, sponsored by the Hsing Yun Education Foundation, and curated by the Nan Tien Art Gallery. Featuring seven sculptures made from recycled materials, the exhibition promotes themes of practice, gratitude, and harmony while echoing the spirit of “Environmental and Spiritual Preservation.” Judges Kim Williams (lecturer at the University of Wollongong) and sculptor David Ball awarded Deborah Redwood’s Tension the first prize and Rochelle Morris’s Eternal Renewal the second. The artworks are installed across temple grounds—at the plaza, lotus pond, and mountain paths—creating a space where art meets serenity. Judges praised the exhibition’s material diversity and cultural significance in fostering East-West artistic dialogue and community harmony.
