On 25 February, Venerable You Ji, Manager of Nan Tien Art Gallery, met with Tara James, Manager -Touring Exhibitions, Carol Cains, Senior Curator - Asia and Pacific Art, and Beatrice Thompson, Associate Curator - Asia and Pacific Art at the National Gallery of Australia (NGA) in Canberra. NGA had offered to loan Abundance, a pure gold sculpture by renowned Australian artist Lindy Lee to Nan Tien Art Gallery. Created from 50 kg of 24-carat gold, the work reflects Lee’s deep connection to Buddhist philosophy, exploring themes of embodying cycles of birth, death and renewal. The upcoming display at Nan Tien Art Gallery marks a rare cultural collaboration, offering local audiences a powerful, luminous encounter with one of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary artists.
